For the central area of the village Bodegraven, a strategic and integral urban masterplan was developed as a step-by-step approach to reinforce the character and functionality of this area. Topics such as housing, shopping, amenities, public space, green structure and mobility are an integral part of the plan.
For a part of the historical centre, around the Kerkstraat and the Oude Markt, a detailed study was made to understand and preserve the essential spatial qualities of the built environment. This also includes the character and configuration of the street itself.
Currently, this approach is being implemented in other areas of the centre.
